Wadel, Alex W., 25, a life time resident of Dry Run, PA died suddenly in an ATV accident at his home on Dec. 31, 2020. He was the beloved husband of Hope K. (Semple) Wadel, they were married on Sept. 24, 2016.
Born in Mifflintown, PA he was the son of Keith E. and Cathy (Miller) Wadel, of Dry Run, PA
An outdoor enthusiast, he loved everything about farming, hunting and recreational activities. He was an active, faithful member of New Hope Mennonite Church in Upper Strasburg, PA.
Surviving, in addition to his wife and parents, are parents-in-law, Tim and Jen Semple, of Spring Run and Sandy Semple of Mercersburg; 4 siblings, Greg (Roxann) Wadel of Shippensburg, Kendall (Kaylene) Wadel, of Dry Run, Miranda (Brent) Weaver, of Newburg, PA and Shanae (Trent) Huber of Milverton, ON, Canada; brother-in-law, Kyle E. Semple and his friend, Kaylee Beattie, of Spring Run, a stepsister, McKayla Semple of Spring Run and a half-brother, Cole Beecher of Mercersburg. Also surviving are his paternal grandparents, Dale and Wilma Wadel, of Shippensburg and maternal grandparents, Bonnie and Leonard Hockenberry, of Willow Hill and numerous aunts, uncles, nieces and nephews.
Viewing Sunday, Jan. 3, 2021 between 2 & 4 PM and 6 & 8 PM in the Agett-Lakjer Funeral Home, 16715 Path Valley Road, Spring Run. Wadel, Paul Eugene
April 7, 1959 - July 6, 2020
Paul Eugene Wadel, 61, of Washington Boro, passed away on July 6, 2020, in a swimming accident in the pond on the home farm.
He was born in Christiana, to David and Ruth (Blank) Wadel. He was the loving husband of Donna Lois (Herr) Wadel with whom he celebrated their thirty-ninth anniversary on July 4. She is the daughter of Donald and Dorcas (Weaver) Herr.
Paul was a long-time farmer, well-known and respected in his local community. He was a member of the Blue Rock Mennonite Church, in which he was actively involved. He enjoyed spending time with his children and grandchildren.
In addition to his wife and parents, he is survived by his sons and daughters, Franklin and Christina (Siegrist) Wadel, of Jordanville, NY; Frederick Wadel, at home; J. Peter and Erin (Willms) Wadel, of Washington Boro; David Deiter, at home; Margaret and Austin Martin, of East Earl; Lorraine and Micah Cormier, of Porter, Maine; Catherine and Jadin Martin, of Vineland, NJ; Miriam Wadel, at home; grandchildren, Nathan, Brenda, and Caleb Wadel and Gordon and Ingrid Cormier; brothers and sisters, Marlin and Denise Wadel of Wolcott, VT; Clair and Susan Wadel, of Holden, MO; Judith and Rodney Martin, of Bridgewater, VA; Joy and Daniel Baltozer of Mount Joy, PA; and Angel and Debbie Rivera of Lancaster, PA.
A public viewing will be held on Friday, July 10, 2020, from 1 to 4 and 6 to 8 PM at the Blue Rock Mennonite Church, 3457 Blue Rock Road, Lancaster. Funeral services will be held on Saturday, July 11, 2020, 10:00 AM at the Blue Rock Mennonite Church. Interment will take place in the adjoining church cemetery.

Wagler, Joseph P.
December 3, 1928 - December 5, 2020
Joseph "Joe" P. Wagler, 92, of Goshen, passed away at 8:50 pm on Saturday, December 5, at Courtyard of Goshen. He was born on December 3, 1928 in Arthur, IL, to Phenas and Drucilla (Helmuth) Wagler. On June 29, 1950 in Arthur he married Mary Elizabeth Borntrager, she survives.
Survivors in addition to his wife are four daughters, Virginia (Valentine) Yoder of Goshen, Dorothy (Brian) Schlabach of Quitman, AR, Alta Louise (Vern) Borntrager of Plentywood, MT, Betty Jean (Allen) Helmuth of Arthur, IL; four sons, Ivan J. (Loretta) Wagler of Irwin, OH, Joe Edward (Pollyanna ) Wagler of Cedar Creek, TX, Dale Eugene Wagler of Goshen, Delbert Lee (Gloria Joyce) Wagler of Westcliffe, CO; 22 grandchildren; 66 great grandchildren; one great great granddaughter; four sisters, Fannie Miller of Goshen, Catherine (Sam) Stoll of Kokomo, Annie (Joel) Stoll of Kokomo, Susie (Lloyd) Miller of Amboy; two brothers, Melvin (Alta) Wagler of Kokomo, Amzy (Verna) Wagler of Oden.
He was preceded in death by his parents; brother, Noah Wagler and a sister, Elnora Wagler.
Joe had been a farmer and truck driver for most of his life and in his retirement he did taxi driving for the Amish community. He was a member of Living Hope Christian Fellowship, Goshen.
Due to the national pandemic, private funeral services will be held by the family. Burial will be in Miller Cemetery, Goshen. Memorials may be given to donor's choice and mailed to the funeral home at 1003 S. Main St., Middlebury, IN 46540.
Weaver, Allen M.
March 13, 1933 - September 26, 2020
Allen M. Weaver, of Quarryville, died on Saturday, September 26, 2020 at the age of 87 years, 6 mos., and 13 days. He was the son of the late Bishop Joseph O. and Fannie W. (Martin) Weaver. He was the husband of Arlene (Martin) Weaver and had been the minister at Bethel Mennonite Church since 1972.
In addition to his wife, he is survived by six sons: David (Sharon Hoover) Weaver of Coatesville; Kenneth (Norma Burkholder) Weaver of Milton; John Edward (Joyce Martin) Weaver of Thamesville, Ontario, Canada; Allen Jr. (Corinne Weaver) Weaver of Millington, MD; Joseph (Janet Burkholder) Weaver of Rozet, WY; James (Rachel Bair) Weaver of Peach Bottom; 5 daughters: Rose Ann Mack of Catawissa; Mary Louise (Leon) Rohrer of Quarryville; Beulah May (Melvin) Rohrer of Millville, PA; Grace (Dale) Kauffman of Myerstown; Dorothy (Lamar) Witmer of Auburn, NY; one brother, Landis M. Weaver; 90 grandchildren, and 202 great-grandchildren.
He was preceded in death by a brother, George Weaver; an infant brother and sister, a son-in-law, Arlen Mack, 3 great-grandsons, Jeffrey Lehman, Braydon Witmer and Lindrick Weaver.
Funeral Services will be held at Bethel Mennonite Church, 1774 Robert Fulton Highway, Quarryville, PA on Friday, October 2, 2020 at 10:00 a.m. Interment will follow in the adjoining cemetery.
Weaver, Anna Elizabeth Gingrich
April 26, 1924 - May 17, 2020
Anna Elizabeth Weaver, 96, of Pittsgrove, NJ passed away peacefully early Sunday, May 17, 2020 at the home of her daughter and son-in-law, Miriam and Lester Weaver. She was predeceased by her husband of seventy years, Aaron Z. Weaver, in 2014. She was born on April 26, 1924 in Lebanon PA. She was the daughter of the late John and Fannie (Lehman) Gingrich.
She married on Christmas Day, 1943. In 1985, Aaron and Anna moved from Lancaster County to live near their daughter's family in South Jersey. She was a diligent homemaker, sharing their residence for many years with various boarders. Anna was a long-time member of the Vineland Mennonite Church. She was also preceded in death by one sister and three brothers.
She is survived by one daughter, Miriam, wife of Lester Weaver, Pittsgrove, NJ; one foster daughter, Marcella Smith of Lancaster; and one brother, David Gingrich, of Lititz, PA. She leaves behind 10 grandchildren: Melita & James Siegrist, Marla & Marcus Martin, Marcus & Ruth (Goodwin), Melody & Jere Martin, Jerome & Audrey (Martin), Jaron & Janelle (Kurtz), Joel & Londa (Cross), Justin & Dorcas (Kreider), Joanna & Shannon Garman, Merlin & Juanita (Slaymaker); and 44 great-grandchildren.
A private family funeral service will be conducted with burial in the Vineland Mennonite Church Cemetery.
Weaver, Barbara M. Oberholtzer Sensenig
December 9, 1935 - July 14, 2020
Barbara M. Weaver, 84, of Ephrata, died Tuesday, July 14, 2020 at WellSpan Ephrata Community Hospital, after a brief illness.
Born in East Earl, she was a daughter of the late Adam and Barbara (Martin) Oberholtzer. Her first husband, Rufus K. Sensenig, died April 29, 1982, and her second husband, Michael N. Weaver, died Dec. 8, 2003.
Barbara worked as a seamstress for Dutchmaid in New Holland.
She was a member of Weaverland Mennonite Church, Weaverland Conference, and in her younger years enjoyed sewing for relief sales and yard saleing.
Surviving are three brothers, David M. (Lucy Hurst) Oberholtzer of Lititz, Adam M. (Ella Martin) Oberholtzer of East Earl, and Leroy M. (Shirley Longenecker) Oberholtzer of Manheim; eight Weaver step children, Irwin W. (Mary) Weaver of New Holland, Lena W. (late Sherman) Leed of Ephrata, H. Landis (Pauline) Weaver of Quarryville, Miriam W. (late Samuel and late Melvin) Snader of Terre Hill, Esther Mae (Eugene) Sensenig of Newmanstown, M. Vernon (Anna) Weaver of Bluford, IL, Ray W. (Linda) Weaver of Terre Hill, and Roy W. (Sharon) Weaver of Caanan, NH; five Sensenig step children, Eugene Z. (Esther) Sensenig of Newmanstown, Ella Mae (late Martin) Hoover of Lebanon, Carl Z. (Noreen) Sensenig of Penn Yan, NY, Harold Z. (Esther) Sensenig of Shippensburg, and Lamar Z. (Carol) Sensenig of Shippensburg; 74 step grandchildren; and numerous step great-grandchildren, step great-great-grandchildren, and nieces and nephews.
Preceding her in death are two sisters, Anna M. Wenger and Lena M. Martin; and a brother, Noah M. Oberholtzer.
Funeral services will be held on Tuesday, July 21 at 9 am at the Martindale Mennonite Fellowship Center, 352 Martindale Road, Ephrata with further services at 9:30 am at Weaverland Mennonite Church with the Bishop Amos G. Weaver, David Benjamin

Columbiana - David Benjamin Weaver, 72, of Columbiana, died on Monday, November 9, 2020 at Mercy Health St. Elizabeth Boardman Hospital, Boardman after being stricken at his home.
Mr. Weaver was born on May 27, 1948 in Salem, OH, a son of the late David and Emma Ruth Good Weaver and had lived in this area all of his life. He was a self employed dairy farmer and was a Minister of the Salem Mennonite Church.
He is survived by his wife, Eva Ann Rhodes Weaver, whom he married on October 11, 1969; two sons, Timothy (Rachel) Weaver of Guatemala and Douglas (Rose Mary) Weaver of Columbiana; five daughters, Joy Weaver of Columbiana, Elaine (Kevin) Martin of Ephrata, PA, Arlene (Nathan) Sweigart of Morgantown, PA, Janice (Justin) Brandt of Tolstoi, Manitoba, and Anita (Nathan) Bender of Kippen, Ontario; two sisters, Ruth Anne (Mahlon) Martin of Cambridge Springs, PA, and Joanna M. (Harry) Neuenschwander of Salem; a brother, Joseph (Elaine) Weaver of Columbiana; a brother in law, Steven Yoder of Homeworth; 41 grandchildren and 3 great grandchildren.
He was preceded in death by a sister, Miriam Yoder and a grandson, Lavern Brandt.
The family will receive friends on Wednesday, November 11, 2020 from 1:00 pm - 3:00 pm and 5:00 pm – 8 pm at the Salem Mennonite Church, 40725 Lodge Road, Leetonia. Funeral services will be held on Thursday, November 12, 2020, at 10:00 am at the Salem Mennonite Church, Leetonia, with the Salem Mennonite Church Ministry Team officiating. Weaver, Diane Marie Good
December 29, 1966 - August 15, 2020
Diane Marie Good Weaver, 53, a resident of Harrisonburg, passed away Saturday, Aug. 15, 2020, at her home. Mrs. Weaver was born Dec. 29, 1966, in Rockingham County, and was a daughter of Richard and Wanda (Weaver) Good of Harrisonburg, Va.
Diane was a member of Harrisonburg Mennonite Church. She was the Chief Marketing Officer at Virginia Mennonite Retirement Center, where she worked since graduating from Eastern Mennonite University. She had both bachelor and MBA degrees from EMU.
Diane was a beloved member of the VMRC community. She formed many close relationships with residents and coworkers during her many years working there. She always had a smile and an encouraging word for those she met. She enjoyed competing in golf tournaments and spending time at the beach. She was past-president of the Harrisonburg Rotary Club. Most of all, she loved spending time with friends and family.
On Aug. 26, 1989, she married Jonathan Weaver, who survives.
Also surviving are a son, Stuart Anthony Weaver of Harrisonburg; and her sisters, Barb (Rodney) Gunden of Harrisonburg, Janice (John) Gandy of Harrisonburg, and Phyllis (Dale) Yoder of Bay Port, Mich.
Mrs. Weaver was preceded in death by a brother, Eddie Good.
Due to the current Coronavirus pandemic, a memorial service will be held at a later date.

Edna Z. Weaver, 90, of Manheim, died peacefully on Sunday, August 16, 2020 at the Maugansville Mennonite Home in Hagerstown, MD. Born in Ephrata she was the daughter of the late Noah W. and Elizabeth Zimmerman Burkholder. A homemaker, she was the wife of the late Noah B. Weaver who died in July of 2014. She was a member of Clearview Mennonite Church, Manheim.
Surviving are two sons: Lester B. husband of Irene R. Kurtz Weaver of Manheim, Linford B. husband of Lynnette S. Zimmerman Weaver of Manheim, four daughters: Elaine B. wife of Leonard E. Horning of Denver, Ruth Ann wife of Philip R. Horst of Ephrata, Marie B. wife of Mel Horst of Lititz, Marion B. wife of Norman L. Hahn of East Earl, a daughter-in-law, Erma E. Weaver of Manheim, 34 grandchildren, 86 great-grandchildren, four brothers: Ivan husband of Irene Burkholder of Akron, Harvey husband of Jeanette Burkholder of Denver, Norman Burkholder of Talmage, Elvin Burkholder of Ephrata, and three sisters: Mary Nolt Martin of Richland, Ella Hurst Zimmerman wife of Isaac Zimmerman of Ephrata, and Etta Martin of Holtwood. Preceding her in death is a son, Noah B. Weaver, Jr., a grandson, Arlen L. Weaver, three brothers: Aaron, Noah, David, and five sisters: Alta, Anna, Elizabeth, Ada, and Lena.
Funeral services will be at Clearview Mennonite Church, 90 North Esbenshade Road, Manheim, on Friday, August 21, 2020 at 9:30 AM. Interment will be in the adjoining church cemetery. Elise B. Weaver, 95, of Port Trevorton peacefully entered into rest at 9:07 pm on Thursday, April 2, 2020 at her daughters Miriam's residence.
Born on January 6, 1925 in Earl Township, Lancaster County, a daughter of the late Daniel and Katie (Bowman) Martin. She was the wife of David G. Weaver, who preceded her in death.
Elise was a member of Stauffer Mennonite Church.
She is survived by her children: Marvin (Stella) Weaver, Ephrata, Norma (Allen) Brubacher of Leonardtown, MD, Miriam (Edwin) Martin of Port Trevorton, John David (Janice) Weaver of East Earl, PA, Floyd (Joyce) Weaver of Peebles, OH, Elmer (Sandra) Weaver of Leola, Elvin (Elva) Weaver of Mechanicsville, MD, Wilmer (Debra) Weaver of Ephrata, Abel (Mabel) Weaver of Mt. Lebanon - Ella H. Weaver, 78, died unexpectedly at home on Monday, June 22, 2020.
She was the wife of the late Raymond W. Weaver who died in 2014. Born in Bareville, she was the daughter of the late Allen and Lizzie Horst Wenger.
Ella was a homemaker and a member of the Elm View Mennonite Church, Weaverland Conference.
Surviving are six children, Nelson husband of Esther (Oberholtzer) Weaver of Colby, WI, Pauline wife of Barton Sensenig of Myerstown, Richard husband of Irene (Nolt) Weaver of Denver, Anna Mary wife of Harvey Brubacker of Colby, WI, Louise wife of Mark Martin of Unity, WI, and Elaine wife of Leon Horning of Lebanon; 28 grandchildren, 50 great grandchildren, seven siblings, Anna wife of the late Luke Wise of Myerstown, Clarence husband of Mabel Wenger of Ephrata, Melvin husband of Elizabeth Wenger of Denver, Alma wife of the late Paul Martin of New Holland, Erla wife of Clarence Horst of Lebanon, John Allen husband of Velma Wenger of Bird-In-Hand, and Mary E. Wenger of New Holland; and a sister-in-law Ida wife of the late David Wenger of Ephrata. She was preceded in death by a son, Kenneth, three great grandchildren and two brothers, David and Ivan Wenger.

Weaver, Esther E. Martin
May 11, 1931 - October 29, 2020
Esther E. Weaver, 89, of Ephrata, passed away on Thursday, October 29, 2020, of natural causes at Keystone Villa.
She was born in Goodville to the late Sam and Frances (Bowman) Martin and was the wife of the late Irwin M. Weaver who passed away in April of this year.
She was a member of Martindale Mennonite Church.
Esther spent many years helping her husband on the farm and then later was a manager at the Ephrata Re-Uzit shop until she retired in 2001. She enjoyed flower gardening, needlework and spending time with her family.
Esther is survived by three children, Lamar, husband of Edith Weaver of Ephrata, Dennis, husband of Joanne Weaver of Mansfield, Joy, wife of Marlin Hershey of LaPorte City, IA; ten grandchildren; 25 great-grandchildren and a brother, Chet, husband of Ruth Ann Martin.
In addition to her husband and parents, she was preceded in death by a son, Nelson Weaver; three brothers, Raymond, Sam, and Lester Martin and four sisters, Mae Harnish, Elizabeth Newswanger, Edna High, Pauline Weaver.
The Family wishes to thank the staff at Keystone Villa for all the special care and kindness to Esther while she was a resident there.
A viewing will be held on Friday, November 6, 2020, from 5 to 7 PM at Martindale Mennonite Church, 171 Hurst Road, Ephrata. A memorial service will be held on Saturday, November 7, 2020, at 10:30 AM at the Martindale Mennonite Church, 171 Hurst Road, Ephrata, with Pastors Daryl Weaver and Dave Sensenig officiating. Interment will be private in the Landis Valley Mennonite Cemetery at the convenience of the family, prior to services.

Weaver, Esther S. Hess
March 1, 1931 - April 26, 2020
Esther S. Weaver, 89, of Lititz, went home to be with her Lord and Savior on Sunday, April 26, 2020 at United Zion Retirement Community, Lititz; where she was a resident for the past five years. Born in Ephrata, she was the daughter of the late Miles and Lottie Stauffer Hess. She was the wife of 65 years to the late Paul E. Weaver, who died in August of 2017.
Esther retired from Kmart Corporation, Lancaster, after 20 years, and was a 29-year cancer survivor. She was a member of Lititz Mennonite Church and had served as a librarian when she was younger. Esther was an avid reader, enjoyed collecting ceramic birds of all types, and loved to sing hymns.
Surviving are four children: Marilyn (Robert) Sides, Lancaster, Shirley (Jay) Weaver, Lititz, Judy (Dean) Sweigart, Jacksonville, FL, Glen (Larissa) Weaver, San Jose, CA, eight grandchildren: Dawn (Ever) Sandoval, Jennifer Weaver, Jay Andrew (Bridgett) Weaver, Natalie Weaver, Amber (John) Buchholz, Brittany (Rhett) Malone, Anya Weaver, Arianna Weaver, two sisters; Verna Zimmerman, Lititz, Arlene Hertzog, Ephrata, and one brother, Leon Hess, East Earl. Preceding her in death besides her husband and parents is a sister, Irene Snader, and a brother, Clarence Hess.
Services and interment will be private and at the convenience of the family at Hess Mennonite Cemetery, Lititz.

Freeman J. Weaver, 68, of Topeka, died at 9:00 pm on Saturday, December 5, at Lutheran Hospital, Fort Wayne, after a brief illness. He was born on September 10, 1952 in LaGrange to Jonas L. and Mary (Fry) Weaver. On June 1, 1972 he married Mary E. Yoder, she survives.
Survivors in addition to his wife are two sons, Larry (Ruth) Weaver of Topeka, Marion (Inez) Weaver of Ligonier; seven daughters, Doris (Leland, deceased) Bontrager of Shipshewana, Esther (Ernest) Shrock of LaGrange, Ruth Ann (Mervin) Yoder of Shipshewana, Lorene (Gary) Hostetler of Topeka, Sue Ellen (Freeman) Bontrager of Topeka, Erma (Richard) Yoder of LaGrange, Carolyn (Myron) Miller of LaGrange; 52 grandchildren; 16 great-grandchildren; three sisters, Katie (John) Schlabach of Shipshewana, Sue (Ben) Schwartz of Waterloo, NY, Ada Mae Graber of Colon, MI; two brothers, Lee (Lizzie) Weaver of Topeka, Delbert (Susie) Weaver of LaGrange.
He was preceded in death by his parents; an infant brother and sister; son-in-law; granddaughter, Diana Kay Bontrager; brother-in-law, Ray Bontrager.
Freeman was a minister and a member of the Old Order Amish Church. He worked in area factories most of his life. Glenn M. Weaver, 52, peacefully graduated into heaven following a brief illness on Friday, February 28, 2020, surrounded by family.
Glenn was born May 13, 1967. From 1988 to present Glenn was a Friendship Community resident, a place he truly felt loved and at home as he matured under their creative leadership.
Glenn loved people and attention. His humor refreshed many hearts. Glenn's all time favorites were spending home weekends with one of his siblings, eating at a restaurant, and receiving birthday and Christmas gifts. Listening to Ranger Bill, playing his harmonica or Gospel music CD's, receiving shirts or mugs naming sport teams, plus his too-many-to count calendars definitely painted a happy face.
Throughout his 31 years at Friendship Community, Glenn was involved in many community and church activities as well as briefly helping his sister with a vending machine business.
Glenn was preceded in death by his parents, Melvin N. Weaver and Virginia H. Weaver (Martin) as well as two brothers, Earl and Nelson. Glenn is survived by six sisters and three brothers, Grace, Kathy, Merv, Elvin, Louella, Leonard, Lorraine, Mimi, and Carole.
A Celebration of Glenn's Life will be held on Saturday, March 7, 2020 at Hempfield Church of the Brethren, 1186 Stevens Road, Manheim, PA 17545 at 11:30 AM with Pastor Milton Stoltzfus officiating. The family will receive family and friends at the church from 10:30 AM until the time of the service. Graveside service at Bossler's Mennonite Church at 9:00 AM. Glenn R. Weaver, age 54 years, four months and three days, passed away, Monday, April 20, 2020 at his home. He was born December 17, 1965 in Ephrata, Pennsylvania, a son of Irvin B. and Emma M. (Reiff) Weaver.
He was married to Kathryn Z. Kilmer on July 11, 1987 in Barnett, Missouri.
He was preceded in death by his father.
Survivors include his wife Kathryn Z. Weaver; his mother, Emma M. Weaver; six children, Carolyn Hoover and husband Owen of Versailles, Missouri, Shirley Zimmerman and husband Eldon of Arbela, Missouri, Joshua Weaver and wife Joni of Versailles, Missouri, Shawn Weaver and wife Pamela of Versailles, Missouri, Jason Weaver and wife Sharlene of Versailles, Missouri, Kaylee Zimmerman and husband Travis of Versailles, Missouri; twelve grandchildren; one brother, Gerald Weaver and wife Annetta of Versailles, Missouri; five sisters, Karen Kilmer and husband Orvie of Clarksburg, Missouri, Joyce Ramer and husband Russell of Russellville, Missouri, Janice Zimmerman and husband Edward of Fortuna, Missouri, Rosanne Kilmer and husband Daniel of Barnett, Missouri and Norma Ramer and husband John of Russellville, Missouri and many other relatives and friends.
When Glenn was twelve, he moved with his family to the Versailles Community where he spent his life as a farmer. He was a member of North Ozark Mennonite Church in Versailles. Glenn also drove a school bus and volunteered for the local fire department.
He enjoyed spending time at the lake fishing and loved spending time with his grandchildren.
The church is conducting an outdoor service with social distancing being observed at 9:30 a.m., Friday, April 24, 2020 at North Ozark Mennonite Church. Burial will be in North Ozark Mennonite Church Cemetery. The family is hosting a visitation from 1:00-4:00 p.m. and 5:00-8:00 p.m. Thursday at the North Ozark Mennonite Church with ten friends allowed at a time.

Irwin M. Weaver, 91, of Ephrata, passed away on Tuesday, April 21, 2020, at Keystone Villa.
He was born in Ephrata to the late Luke and Anna (Martin) Weaver and was the husband of Esther E. (Martin) Weaver with who would have celebrated 70 years of marriage on June 3rd.
He was presently a member at Martindale Mennonite Church. In previous years he served as Deacon at Landis Valley Mennonite Church, was a Youth Leader and also taught Sunday school for many years.
Irwin was a farmer. He was also a mechanic for Chas Weaver Masonry and after retirement he worked for Ephrata ReUzit. He enjoyed tinkering and fixing things.
In addition to his wife, Irwin is survived by 3 children: Lamar, husband of Edith Weaver of Ephrata, Dennis, husband of Joann Weaver of Mansfield, Joy, wife of Marlin Hershey of LaPorte City, IA; 10 grandchildren; 23 great-grandchildren; 2 brothers, Luke, husband of Arlene Weaver of Ephrata, Lloyd, husband of Naomi Weaver of Farmersville; and 3 sisters, Thelma, wife of Nelson Hershey of Mountville, Edith, wife of Paul Gehman of Ephrata, Rosene, wife of Leonard Martin of Red Run.
In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by a son, Nelson Weaver; 3 brothers, Raymond, Charles, and Emory and 2 sisters, Pearl and Miriam.
The family would like to extend a special thanks to Hospice and Community Care and the staff at Keystone Villa for the care that they gave to Irwin in the last few months.
Services will be private at the convenience of the family. Interment will take place in the Landis Valley Mennonite Cemetery.

James Weaver, 66, Bremen, died 1 p.m. Wednesday, July 22, 2020 at his home. He was born April 18, 1954, in Elkhart, to William G. & Annetta (Martin) Weaver. On August 28, 1982, he married Karen (Shaum) Weaver.

Myerstown - Laura G. Weaver, 86, of Myerstown, passed away in her home on Sunday, March 22, 2020. She was the wife of the late Samuel M. Weaver. She was born in Warwick Township, Lancaster County on October 3, 1933, a daughter of the late Edwin and Anna Garman Musser. Laura was a member of the Fairview Mennonite Church of Weaverland Conference.

Lester M. Weaver, 89 years, 4 months and 4 days, passed away Saturday, Sept. 5, 2020 at home. He was the husband of Anna H. Weaver. They had celebrated their 66th wedding Anniversary on Feb. 28, 2020. Born in East Earl on May 1, 1931, he was the son of the late George and Lydia (Martin) Weaver.
He was a member of the Bethel Mennonite Church. He enjoyed the Dairy Farm where he worked most of his life.

Lucinda (Cindy) G. Weaver, 498 County Road 1500N Johnsonville, IL 62850, was born June 25, 1946 in Ephrata, PA. On December 3, 2020, at the age of 74 years, 5 months, and 8 days, angels gently carried Cindy HOME to be with her Savior.
She was a member of the Orchardville Mennonite Church. She was the daughter of the late Adam R. and Nancy (Gingerich) Stauffer. She leaves behind her loving husband of 54 years, Mervin Weaver.
She was loved and will be deeply missed by her 2 daughters: Lori, wife of Jeff Cooley of North East, PA and Lucia, wife of Brent Lapp of Carpenter, WY; 1 son Loren, husband to Juanita (Rohrer) Weaver, of Johnsonville, IL; 2 brothers: Leon Stauffer and Elias (Mary) Stauffer, both of PA; one sister Violet, wife of Leonard Martin of Lebanon, PA; one step-brother Frank (Marilyn) Martin of Guatemala, one step-sister Rachel, wife of Carl Martin of Lebanon, PA; 25 grandchildren, 2 step-grandchildren, and 7 great grandchildren.
She was preceded in death by her parents, step-mother Elizabeth Stauffer, one son Daryl Weaver, 3 grandchildren, 2 sisters: Joanna Zimmerman and husband Noah, and Erma Martin and husband Phares, and one sister-in-law Mary Jane Stauffer.

M. Lloyd Weaver, Jr., “Teepa”, 96, of Harrisonburg, passed away on Tuesday, April 7, 2020, at Crestwood of the Virginia Mennonite Retirement Community.
Lloyd was born on Jan. 16, 1924, in Lancaster, Pa., and was a son of the late Martin Lloyd and Sara Stoner (Oberholtzer) Weaver, Sr. Lloyd devoted many years to the Mennonite Church. He served as Pastor of Huntington Mennonite Church in Newport News, and Bishop and Overseer for the Virginia Conference. He also served as President of the Virginia Mennonite Mission Board. Lloyd was also a Dairy Farmer. He made clear that he was a farmer/preacher at heart. He and his wife moved to Harrisonburg in 2008, and in 2019, moved to the Virginia Mennonite Retirement Community.
On June 18, 1947, he married the former Sarah Yoder, who survives.
In addition to his wife, Lloyd is survived by his children, Malinda Stoltzfus and husband, Glen, of Harrisonburg, David Weaver of Harrisonburg, Lavonne Lehman and husband, David, of Toano, and Alta Blosser and husband, Max, of Williamsburg; siblings Ken Weaver of Harrisonburg, Sam Weaver of Harrisonburg, and Ron David and wife, Susan, of Richmond; grandchildren, Michael Stoltzfus and wife, Jennifer, Julie Lehman and husband, Todd, Peter Lehman and wife, Kimberly, Renee Moyer and husband, Sam, Erik Blosser and wife, Irka, and Melissa Blosser; seven great-grandchildren, and numerous nieces and nephews with whom he often interacted.
A memorial service will be held at a later date.
A private family burial at Warwick River Mennonite Church Cemetery will also be held at a later date.

Mark A. Weaver, 41, of Goshen, Indiana, died Saturday, June 27, 2020, at Goshen Health Hospital, Goshen, Ind.
He was the son of Marie S. (Martin) Weaver of Port Trevorton and the late Allen M. Weaver.
Mark was born Nov. 29, 1978, in Lewisburg.
In addition to his mother, Mark is survived by a brother, Brandon A. Weaver husband of Carol S., Julie Weaver, Anita Stauffer wife of Levi B., and Jeannie Stauffer wife of Noah; and many nieces and nephews.
He was preceded in death by a niece and a nephew.

June 11, 1929 - August 22, 2020
Mary Eby Weaver, 91, died on August 22, 2020, at Greencroft Retirement Community in Goshen. She was an artistic person who loved creating art and who filled her home with beauty, especially beautiful ceramic pieces and flowers. She grew up in Pennsylvania during the Great Depression, in a big Mennonite farm family. She knew what it was like to work hard, go without, and depend on family.
As an adult, she worked full time and raised four children in Goshen, IN. She was a hard worker who also loved to sit and talk with her children and grandchildren, read, or watch a sunset with her husband Hank, the love of her life. She was active with gardening, bike riding, cross-country skiing and hiking. She loved being outdoors, especially in the mountains. With her patient, loving manner, she cared for her family, her patients, plants and pets.
Mary was born in Lancaster County, Pennsylvania, on June 11, 1929 to Henry and Anna Eby, the fifth of 10 children. She graduated from Goshen College in 1952, after completing her degree in Medical Technology with transfer credit through George Washington University in Washington, D.C.. She began her career at Rockingham Memorial Hospital in Harrisonburg, Virginia. Over a span of 30 years, she worked for a doctor in Elkhart, Goshen Hospital in Goshen and the Santa Barbara County Clinic in Santa Barbara, California.
Mary married Henry (Hank) David Weaver Jr. on June 7, 1952. They raised their family in Goshen. Other places they lived included Harrisonburg, Virginia, Elkhart, Boulder, Colorado, Santa Barbara California, Phoenix, Arizona, and Cary, North Carolina. Mary and Hank traveled all over the world, living at different times in Lima, Peru; Kathmandu, Nepal; Warsaw, Poland; Agua Amarga, Spain; and Blagorvgrad, Bulgaria. After retirement, Mary spent her final years in Goshen, Indiana.
Mary was a longtime member of College Mennonite Church. During her time in Santa Barbara, California, she was a member of Goleta Presbyterian Church, where she was an ordained Deacon and active in the choir. In North Carolina, she attended the Kirk of Kildare, in Cary, North Carolina.
Mary is survived by her husband Henry; four children, Sally (John) Weaver Glick and Judy (Richard Aguirre) Weaver, both of Goshen, Debora Weaver of Fuquay-Varina, North Carolina and Donald (Rosanna) Weaver of Hyattsville, Maryland; and nine grandchildren.
She also is survived by siblings Ethel (Ed) Miller, Roy (Margaret - deceased) Eby, Aaron (Bertie - deceased) Eby, Henry (Virginia) Eby, Ann (John - deceased) Hennely, Ruth (Marvin) Penner and Ivan (Charlotte) Eby. She is preceded in death by her parents and her brother Martin Eby, sister-in-law Lydia Pearl Eby, and by her brother Warren Eby.

Mary M. Weaver, 101, of 351 Quarry Rd., New Holland, died Friday, May 15, 2020 at her home. She was preceded in death by her husband, Ammon M. Weaver, in 2007.
Born in East Earl Twp., she was the daughter of the late Sydney M. and Lydia W. (Martin) Weber.
Mary was a homemaker and a member of the Weaverland Mennonite Church, Weaverland Con-ference.
Surviving are three children: Irma married to the late Enos Zimmerman, Orrstown, Ammon W., Jr. married to Eva G. Weaver, Spencer, TN and David married to Betty Weaver, Mount Pleasant Mills, a son-in-law Leon married to Katie High, Robesonia, 39 grandchildren, 195 great-grandchildren, two foster great-grandchildren, 56 great-great-grandchildren, a sister Irene Rutt, New Holland and two sisters-in-law, Anna Weber, Atmore, AL and Florence Weber, New Holland.
She was preceded in death by two children, Marian High and Kenneth L. Weaver, five siblings: Amos Weber, Ida Weaver, Mabel Hurst, Martin Weber, Raymond Weber and five half-siblings: Edgar Martin, Ivan Martin, Anna Hursh, Henry Martin, Peter Martin, two grandchildren, five great-grandchildren, and two great-great-grandchildren.

Weaver, Melvin E.

Melvin E. Weaver, 70, of Gap, died Tuesday, November 24, 2020 at Maple Farm Nursing Center. His wife, Vera Mae (Sensenig) Weaver, survives. They would have celebrated their 49th wedding anniversary in January.
Born in East Earl Twp., he was the son of the late Amos I. and Vera (Sensenig) Weaver.
Melvin was the founder of Weaver Construction and Roofing, East Earl, working in the business from 1973 to 2014. He was also an early founder of Superior Walls of America.
He was a member of Petra Church, served as president of the Goodville Fire Company for many years, served with Youth with a Mission (YWAM) and PA Mission Builders, sending work teams worldwide on assignments. His other passions were fishing, golfing, and hunting.

His memorial will be held on Saturday, December 5, 2020 at 10:00 a.m. at Petra Church, 565 Airport Rd., New Holland. The memorial will be live streamed on Petra.church/live. Melvin R. Weaver, 87, of Landis Homes, Lititz, went to be with his Lord and beloved wife, Marian, on Monday, August 24, 2020. Melvin and Marian had celebrated their 65th wedding anniversary on June 18, 2018 before Marian passed away on October 28, 2018. He was the son of the late Harvey and Ella Weaver.
Melvin was a faithful member of Lititz Mennonite Church. He was head of maintenance at Landis Homes for a few years after retiring from Warner Lambert. He enjoyed showing his restored Farmall tractor in some of the local fairs and also drove it in the Ephrata Fair parade.
He will be missed by:his two sons, Gary (Maribeth) Weaver, Elizabethtown, Jim (Ginney) Weaver, Lititz, 5 grandchildren; 5 great-grandchildren; a sister, Ruth (Dan) Stoltzfus, Sarasota, FL; two brothers, Ralph (Carolyn) Weaver, Lancaster, Irvin (Dottie) Weaver, New Holland. He was preceded in death by: a son, Robert W. Weaver; a brother, Clyde (Edna) Weaver; a sister, Arlene Weaver.

Miriam M. Weaver, 99, of Ephrata, died Wednesday, January 15, 2020 at Fairmount Homes.
Born in East Lampeter Twp., she was a daughter of the late Joseph and Katie (Sensenig) Snyder. Her husband, Luke L. Weaver, died Sept. 8, 1995.
Miriam was a homemaker and a member of Weaverland Anabaptist Faith Community, where she was active in the sewing circle. She also enjoyed quilting, embroidery, and covering hangers.
Surviving are three sons, Marlin E., married to Ruth Ann (Smith) Gehr Weaver of Ephrata, Linford L., married to Debbie (Rude) Weaver of Stevens, and Nelson R. Weaver and his companion, Betty Eutsey of Lancaster; six grandchildren; 10 great grandchildren; and a brother, Clarence, married to Vivian (Weit) Stauffer.
Preceding her in death is a grandson, Michael Weaver.
The family would like to thank the nurses and staff at Fairmount Home for the wonderful care they gave to Miriam.
Funeral services will be held on Monday, January 20 at 10am at Fairmount Homes Wheat Ridge Chapel, 333 Wheat Ridge Drive, Ephrata, PA 17522 with viewing from 9 to 10am. Rachel L. Weaver, age 63, passed away peacefully at home on Thursday, September 24, 2020. She was born January 23, 1957, in Ephrata, Pennsylvania to E. Harold Herr and Anna Mary (Hoover) Herr. She is the first of 5 children -- Esther (Herr) Schenk, Lois (Herr) Rollman, Daniel Herr, and Freda Herr. She was married to Myron G. Weaver on June 18, 1977, in Ephrata, Pennsylvania, and enjoyed 43 years of marriage. She mothered 9 children -- Harold Weaver, LeAnn (Weaver) Burkholder, Lisa (Weaver) Struhbar, Tiffany Weaver, Joyce (Weaver) Hanson, Paul Weaver, Carol (Weaver) Stamper, Grace Weaver, and James Weaver. She is preceded by Paul Weaver.
While raising her family, she opened her home to many short and long term guests over the years. Rachel found much fulfillment in serving others, through -- health coaching, midwifery, mentoring, and writing -- authoring an art curriculum and four books.
Though the last 5 years contained significant health challenges her life was full and overflowing. Even in her last days, she cared deeply for those around her, hosting family and friends, sitting with other suffering individuals, delivering meals, and ministering the love of Christ. Rachel had a truly unique ability to reach people in deep and positive ways.
An outside, no contact viewing will be held on Sunday, September 27, from 1:00 to 3:00 P.M. followed by a 3:00 P.M. funeral service at Charity Christian Fellowship, 59 South Groffdale Road, Leola, PA. Richard Lee Weaver, 60, of Dongola, [IL] died Monday, Aug. 10, 2020, in a farm accident in rural Cobden.
He was born on Nov. 3, 1959, in Ephrata, Pa., the son of Harvey M. and Laura N. Martin Weaver.
He married Ruth Horst on Jan. 1, 1983, in Wadsworth, Ohio.
Mr. Weaver is survived by his wife, Ruth of Dongola; four sons, John (Eva) of Dongola, Harold (Dawn) of Buncombe, LaRay and Roger, both of Dongola; five daughters, Nancy (Nathan Martin) of Buncombe, Karen (Mylen Martin) of Shippensburg, Pa., Diane (Toby Shiley) of Anna, Darla and Kathy of Dongola; 14 grandchildren; three brothers, Glen (Wanda), Clair (Rhoda) and Ernest (Regina), all of Dongola; six sisters, Janet, Eileen, Cheryl and Sharon Weaver all of Dongola, Velma (James) Brubaker of York Springs, Pa., and Joan (Donald) Yoder of Barnesville, Ga.
He was preceded in death by his parents and by one grandson, Jamin Scott Weaver, on Aug. 12, 2017.
Funeral services for Richard Lee Weaver were held at 10 a.m. Saturday, Aug. 15, at the Harvest Church in Anna [IL]. Interment was in the Mt. Pleasant Mennonite Church Cemetery.

Rose Marie Weaver, 65, of Reinholds, passed away Thursday, November 19, 2020, at her home, following a period of illness with many health complications.
She was born in Martindale to the late Luke and Wille Mae (Good) Sauder, and was the wife of Gary S. Weaver.
Rose Marie was a member of Denver Mennonite Church.
In addition to her husband, she is survived by six sons, Merle Ray, husband of Beth A. Weaver of Bowmansville, Gary Michael, husband of Laura A. Weaver of Manheim, Matthew Lynn, husband of Joy E. Weaver of Richland, Jason Dean Weaver of Lancaster, Bryan Lamar, husband of Janet E. Weaver of Newmanstown, David Laverne Weaver of Ephrata; a daughter, Denise Marie, wife of Daryl L. Weaver of Lake, MI; four sisters, Gloria, wife of Noah Raber of OH, Karen, wife of Ronald Wiebe of British Columbia, Shirley Sauder of Ephrata, and Dawn Sauder of MS.
In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by three siblings, Ronald, Luke Ray, and Linda Sauder.

Weaver, Ruth Buckwalter Ruhl
May 5, 1922 - April 22, 2020
Ruth B. Weaver, age 96, of Ephrata, formerly of Lancaster and Soudersburg, passed away on Wednesday, April 22, at Fairmount Homes, after a period of declining health. In a mere two weeks she would have turned 97.
Born in Paradise on May 5, 1922, she was the daughter of the late Phares and Cora Hershey Buckwalter. She was the wife of the late Roy M. Weaver and the late J. Robert Ruhl.
Ruth was a member of Mellinger Mennonite Church. She worked many years at Dutch Haven Amish Stuff, Inc. as Gift Shop manager, buyer, and decorator. She collected miniature pitchers, and loved to read and travel. She enjoyed traveling to Mexico with her husband, where they hosted guests from the United States and Canada, and entertained them in their condo.
Ruth is survived by her granddaughter, Dawn M. Darling (Timothy) and her son-in-law, Paul L. Garber. Her daughter, Mary Anne Ruhl Garber, passed away in 2008 in an accident.
A graveside service will take place on Tuesday, April 28, at 11 a.m. in the Paradise Mennonite Cemetery, Cherry Hill Road, Paradise.

Ruth H. Weaver, 86, of Boiling Springs, PA. passed away Saturday, October 31, 2020, at her home surrounded by her loving family.
She was born February 8, 1934, the second daughter of the late Russell and Emma Petre in Hagerstown, MD.
Ruth was the loving wife of Paul M. Weaver, with whom she shared 66 years of marriage and a homemaker who loved her children, grandchildren, and great grandchildren. She loved flowers and watching beautiful sunsets over the mountain out of her kitchen window.
She was a member of the Churchtown Mennonite Church, Carlisle, PA.
In addition to her husband, she is survived by four sons, Daniel (Ruth), Dillsburg, PA; John (Helen), Knox City, MO; Timothy (Audrey), Hardinsburg, KY; and Jacob (Christina), East Concord, NY. Seven daughters, Ella Hooley, Myerstown, PA; Anna Lois, Barnett, MO; Rebecca (Lee) Diller, Sparta, TN; Eunice (Kenneth) Gordon, Bedford, PA; Rhoda (James) Burkholder, Hagerstown, MD; Priscilla, Boiling Springs, PA; and Rachel, Scurry, TX; and one daughter-in-law, Thelma Diller(wife of the late Nathan), Iona, MI. Also surviving are 60 grandchildren and 118 great-grandchildren.
She was preceded in death by her sons, Philip and Nathan Weaver, and one grandchild.
A viewing will be held on Wednesday afternoon and evening, November 4, 2020 from 2-4 and 6-8 at the Mountain View Mennonite Church, Burnt House Road, Carlisle. The funeral service will be held at the Mountain View Mennonite Church on Thursday, November 5, 2020, 10:00 AM. Burial will follow at the Churchtown Mennonite cemetery.
Weaver, Thelma Miller
September 6, 1935 - August 12, 2020
Thelma Weaver, 84 of Goshen died Wednesday, August 12, 2020 at Goshen Hospital as a result of injuries from a fall earlier in the day.
She was born September 6, 1935 in Goshen to Mary Ann (Troyer) and Dewey J. Miller.
On September 3, 1961 she married Wayne H. Weaver in Goshen.
He survives along with a son, Dawson Durrell (Colleen) Weaver; a daughter, Djuana Rochelle Weaver (Toby Duhon); a brother, Floyd D. (Ruby) Miller; a sister, Treva K. Yoder; seven grandchildren and 23 great-grandchildren.
Along with her parents, she was preceded in death by a daughter, Dawn Michelle Weaver; a sister, Betty E. Miller; and a brother-in-law, J. Edward Yoder.
A member of Salem Mennonite Church, Thelma loved family. She was a foster mother to 50 foster children, had many babysitting children, and hosted two foreign exchange students.
Visitation will be Friday, August 14, 2020 from 2 to 4 and 6 to 8 p.m. at the Salem Mennonite Church Fellowship Hall, 23984 C.R. 46, New Paris, and Saturday, August 15, 2020 from 9 a.m. until the 10 a.m. memorial service at the church.
Burial will follow at Salem Mennonite Church Cemetery, corner of C.R. 46 and C.R. 13.

Timothy L. Weaver, 50, of Reinholds, passed away on Thursday, December 3, 2020, at home.
He was born in Ephrata to Mabel (Horning) Weaver Good of Blainsport and the late A. Earl Weaver.
He enjoyed four wheeling, watching all sports, and played tournament volleyball for a number of years.
In addition to his mother, Timothy is survived by four siblings, Gene, husband of Donna (Moran-Falin) Weaver of Blainsport; Wilma, wife of Stan Horst of Denver, Linda, wife of Dave Snader of Denver, Michael, husband of Valerie (Miller) Weaver of Denver; many nieces and nephews.
A viewing will be held on Tuesday, December 8, 2020, from 6 to 8 PM and Wednesday, December 9th, from 10 to 11 AM, at the Blainsport Mennonite Church, 85 S. Blainsport Road, Reinholds. Vernon D. Weaver, 89, of LaGrange, died at 11:36 a.m. on Sunday November 22, surrounded by his family. He was born August 21, 1931 in LaGrange County, to David J. & Alice (Hostetler) Weaver. On January 13, 1955 in LaGrange County he married Elva J. Miller, she survives.
He was a Farmer and in later years a Wheelwright and owned the Buggy Shop. He was a member of the Old Order Amish Church where he served as Senior Bishop.
Survivors in addition to his wife are five sons: Glen W. (Linda) Weaver, Wilmer (Mary) Weaver, Floyd Weaver, David J. (Betty) Weaver all of Shipshewana. Vernon Jr. (Norma) Weaver of Middlebury; six daughters: Freda M. (David) Yutzy, Ella (Melvin) Yutzy, Alice (Glen) Bontrager all of Shipshewana, Ida A. (Wayne) Lengyel of Middlebury, Katie I. (Merle) Miller of Goshen, Joan (Joe) Troyer of Shipshewana, and extended family member Mary F. Raifsnider; 37 grandchildren; 42 great grandchildren; three brothers: Freeman (Norma) Weaver of AZ, Leroy (Ida) Weaver of Shipshewana, Mervin (Joan) Weaver of Nappanee; two sisters; Mary J. Bontrager and Wilma Weaver both of Shipshewana.
He was preceded in death by his parents; daughter, Martha Weaver; granddaughter, Carolyn Miller and an extended family member, Jack R. Raifsnider.
Visitation will be after 2:00 p.m. Monday, November 23, and all day Tuesday, November 24, at the David J. Weaver residence, 7450 W. 050 N., LaGrange. Funeral services will be at 9:30 a.m. on Wednesday, November 25, at the same residence. Services will be conducted by Bishop John Mishler, Elva Miller and Gary Lambright. Zamaria Hailee Weaver, 4 year old daughter of Clint and Kelly Weaver, passed away due to a 5 month battle with severe Aplastic Anemia, Wednesday, Aug. 19, 2020, at the Children's Mercy Hospital in Kansas City, Missouri.
Zamaria was born Jan. 26, 2016, in Lewisburg, Pa. and moved to Missouri with her family in June of 2017.
She is survived by her parents, Clint and Kelly Weaver; siblings, Jamaul Hezekiah Weaver, Kebene Tahlia Weaver, and Meskele Teayrra Weaver, all of Downing, Missouri; paternal grandparents, Henry and Clara Weaver of Livepool, Pa.; maternal grandparents, Ivan and Trudy Brubacker, of Mount Pleasant Mills, Pa.; along with numerous, aunts, uncles, cousins and a host of friends.
The family will greet friends at 10 a.m. Monday, Aug. 31, at the Cornerstone Mennonite Cemetery, west of Memphis, Missouri. Graveside services will follow at 10:30 a.m. with Eugene Fox officiating.

Floyd S. Weber of Denver passed to his heavenly home surrounded by his loving family on January 21, 2020 at 87 years of age. He was born September 23, 1932 to Andrew and Mary (Sensenig) Weber.
On March 15, 1952 Floyd married Salinda (Stoltzfus) Weber. She survives, along with their children: Jean (Leonard) Good, New Holland; Mark (Kim) Weber, Mohnton; and Mary Ann Weber (Jerrol Shaum), Goshen, Indiana; and four grandchildren, Grant (Meagan) Good, Mohnton; Alex Good, New Holland; Aaron Weber, Mohnton; and Noah Weber, Mohnton.
Floyd is also survived by his siblings: Leon (Nancy)Weber, Reinholds; Margaret Gockley, Mohnton; Mildred (Herbert) Horning, Reinholds; Mae (John) Weaver, New Holland; Bernice Valverde, Normal, Illinois; John (Janet) Weber, Ephrata; Glen (Lucy)Weber, Mohnton; and Linda (Larry) Snader, Harrisonburg, Virginia. He was preceded in death by his parents, and brothers-in-law Glenn Gockley and Daniel Valverde and a sister-in-law Norma Weber.
Floyd was a businessman who worked alongside his brothers for many years. After retirement, Floyd and Salinda enjoyed traveling and spending winters at their vacation home in Florida.
Floyd was a member of Bowmansville Mennonite Church, where he served as a deacon for 30 years. He also served for 30 years on the board of the Mennonite Home, Lancaster, including eight years as board chair.
His funeral will be held on Monday, January 27, 2020 at 10 a.m. at Bowmansville Mennonite Church, 129 Pleasant Valley Rd., East Earl with Larry Weber and Chester Yoder officiating. Interment will be in the adjoining cemetery. A viewing will be held at the church on Sunday from 4 – 7 p.m. and Monday from 9 – 10 a.m.

Irene S. Weber, 89, of Ephrata, formerly of Denver, passed away on December 24, 2020, at Fairmount Homes.
Born in Lancaster County, Irene was the daughter of the late Moses and Malinda (Stoltzfus) Stoltzfus and the wife of the late Lewis E. Weber with whom she shared 40 years of marriage prior to his death on December 23, 1994.
She was a member of Blainsport Mennonite Church. She enjoyed serving as pastor's wife, church historian, and secretary for many years. She enjoyed gardening and quilting. After the passing of her husband, she was employed part-time by Weaver Markets Inc.
Surviving are six children: Lester, husband of Naomi (Hess) Weber, Lititz; Dale and Brian, both of Reinholds; Fern, wife of Dean Swartley, Mercersburg; Merle, husband of Carmen (Miller) Weber, New Holland; Joseph, husband of Debra (Gingrich) Weber, Mifflintown; 12 grandchildren; 23 great-grandchildren; and one sister: Miriam, wife of Walter Seigfried, Ligonier.
In addition to her parents and husband, she was preceded in death by a stepmother: Rhoda (Landis) Stoltzfus; two sisters: Naomi Mayo and Hilda Kurtz; and an infant brother.
A private graveside service will be held, at the convenience of the family, in the Blainsport Mennonite Cemetery.

CARTHAGE - Jane M. Weber, 66, of State Route 126, died early Thursday morning, November 19, 2020 at Samaritan Medical Center.
Mrs. Weber was born on July 1, 1954 in North Cornwall, PA the daughter of the late Elmer Mark and Helen (Weaver) Showalter. She married Nathan H. Weber on August 7, 1976.
She is survived by her husband, Nathan and their 13 children, Isaac (Elizabeth), Twila (Ray) Hostetter, Elmer (Doris), Melvin (Ruth), Crystal (Brandon) Lyndaker, Nathaniel (Juanita), Carol (Derald) Zimmerman, Jesse (Dorcas), Harold (Hosanna), Janice (George) Bosworth, Lyndon (Kaitlyn), Rosetta (Marcel) Neuenschwander, and Benjamin (Salome); her two brothers, Glenn Showalter and David (Mildred) Showalter; her three sisters, Carol (Billy) Caudill, Joy (David) Beachy and Mary Showalter; her 50 grandchildren; and nieces and nephews.

Edna H. Weiler, 87, of Manheim, passed away on January 17, 2020. She was born in Churchtown to the late John M. and Lena (Horning) Martin, and was married to Harvey M. Weiler for 64 years until his death in 2017. Edna was a homemaker and a member of Lime Rock Mennonite Church, Weaverland Conference.
She is survived by her 6 children, Lloyd M., husband of Sharon (Martin) Weiler, Manheim, Ruth M. Weiler, Manheim, Mervin M., husband of Mabel (Martin) Weiler, Womelsdorf, Edith, wife of Rufus Zimmerman, Manheim, Earla, wife of Ervin Oberholtzer, Lititz, Nelson, husband of Janice (Nolt) Weiler, Manheim, 32 grandchildren, 67 great-grandchildren. She is also survived by a brother, Irvin, husband of Nora (Buckwalter) Martin, a sister, Anna, wife of Hershey Martin, brother-in-law, Aaron Horst, sisters-in-law, Martha Weaver, Verna Hahn, and Mary Huber.

Ellen is survived by nine children: Esther Stauffer of Narvon, LeRoy, husband of Jacqueline Weiler of Hamburg, Melvin, husband of Jacqueline Weiler of Ephrata, John, husband of Karen Weiler of Ephrata, Mark Weiler of Ephrata, Marvin, husband of Deborah Weiler of Denver, Mary Ellen, wife of Gerald Nissley of Middletown, Jason, husband of Kim Weiler of Bradenton, FL, Glenn, husband of Grace Weiler of Attica, OH; 25 grandchildren; 27 great-grandchildren and four siblings, Noah Wenger of Stevens, Paul, husband of Darla Wenger of Denver, Mary Fleming of Kansas City, MO, Anna, wife of Eugene Martin of Denver.
In addition to her husband and parents, she was preceded in death by two granddaughters.

Arthur D. Wenger, 92, of Lititz went home to be with his Lord on Tuesday, October 27, 2020 at Landis Homes. Born in Leola, he was the son of the late Noah and Elma Denlinger Wenger. He was the loving husband of the late Mary Kathryn Heller Wenger who died in 2019. Arthur retired as owner and operator of his dairy farm in Rapho Township. Following his work on the farm, he was a tour guide for the Mennonite Information Center. He was an active and faithful member of Erisman Mennonite Church, Manheim where he served as an Elder, Trustee, Sunday school teacher and was active on the church cemetery board. His interests included hunting, gardening and he loved to spend time with his family.
Surviving are five children: Nelson husband of Alma Becker Wenger of Manheim, Joyce Wenger, Larry husband of Eileen Diffenderfer Wenger, Delmar husband of Rita Lentz Wenger all of Lancaster and Rosie wife of Dwight Rohrer of Manheim; 14 grandchildren, 24 great grandchildren and three brothers: Lloyd Wenger of Leola, Earl Wenger of Ephrata and Roy Wenger of Leola. He was preceded in death by a grandson, Duane Wenger and four siblings: Mervin Wenger, Miriam Heisey, Elvin Wenger, and Luke Wenger.

Carolyn Landis (Charles) Wenger, 76, of Ephrata, Pa., passed from this life on Monday, April 27, 2020, at Fairmount Homes. She was born in Lancaster to the late Hiram Mowrer Charles and Anna Denlinger (Landis) Charles.
She is survived by a brother, Benjamin Landis, husband of Lisa (Dove) Charles of Linville, Va.; a brother-in-law, Phillip A. King of Chickasaw, Ala.; one niece and a grand-niece.
She was preceded in death by her husband, Robert Clayton Wenger; her parents; and two sisters, Dorothy Ann Charles and Judy Landis (Charles) King.
She graduated from Hempfield Union High School, Landisville, Pa.; Eastern Mennonite College, Harrisonburg, Va., with a BA in English; University of Pennsylvania, Philadelphia, Pa., with a MA in English. She also attended seminars on historical publications, administration of historical agencies and museums and 18th century German-script handwriting. She was a member of the East Petersburg Mennonite Church.
She founded Pennsylvania Mennonite Heritage magazine and served as director of the Lancaster Mennonite Historical Society from 1976 to 2001, when she officially retired but continued to work there in a volunteer capacity as archivist, museum curator and editor. She was a member of numerous professional organizations in the areas of archival and museum work.
Also, she was involved in church-wide and regional historical organizations such as Historical Committee of the Mennonite Church for 20 years; Pennsylvania German Society for 30 years; Eastern Mennonite Associated Libraries and Archives; Allegheny Mennonite Historical Association; Historical Society of Cocalico Valley; East Petersburg Historical Society and Grave Concern.
A memorial service will be held at a later date. Interment will be private at the convenience of the family at Cedar Hill Cemetery.

Wenger, Chester Lehman
April 10, 1918 - October 1, 2020
Chester Lehman Wenger, 102, (born April 10, 1918) died early Thursday morning, Oct. 1, 2020. He died peacefully with family caring for him in his residence at Landis Homes, Lititz, Pa., where he moved in January 2020. In his last days, he played his harmonica — "God be with you till we meet again" — offered his strong bass to many familiar songs, and continued to envision how to transform whole communities. His beloved wife of 73 ½ years, Sara Jane (Weaver) Wenger, preceded him in death on March 23, 2018, as did his eldest son, Chester Lloyd Wenger, who died Nov. 16, 2001.
Chester, the youngest of seven children, was born in Fentress, Norfolk Co., Va., to the late Amos Daniel and Anna May (Lehman) Wenger. Growing up, his family migrated between summers on the family farm in Fentress, Va., and the school year at Eastern Mennonite School, Harrisonburg, Va., where his father was president. Chester liked to study and excelled at school. He graduated from EMS in 1936 with an associate's degree and went on to complete his bachelor's degree in biology at nearby Bridgewater College.
A few years later, back at EMS for additional Bible study, Chester met Sara Jane, who he described as "so beautiful and loveable I couldn't resist." Their relationship blossomed into life-long love and partnership. During their courtship, in 1941, Chester was drafted and served in Civilian Public Service for more than four years as a conscientious objector to war. He and Sara Jane were married during those years, July 2, 1944.
Chester's adult life can be summarized into several periods:
• Ethiopia Years: 1949-1967. Called to Ethiopia by Eastern Mennonite Missions, Salunga, Pa., with a wife and three preschool daughters, Chester served as a pioneer missionary educator.
• Home Ministries Years: 1967-1980. Settling back in America, now with eight children, Chester directed the home ministries and evangelism program at EMM, working with new and existing congregations from Maine to Florida.
• Pastoring Years: 1981-1991. Chester became pastor of North End Mennonite Church which had relocated outside the city of Lancaster. He and Sara Jane were instrumental in renaming the congregation as Blossom Hill Mennonite Church and revitalizing congregational life.
• Active Retirement: 1991-2020. Chester stayed energetically engaged in church, education, business, gardening and vineyard, and family activities.
These life-long interests and commitments provide another lens to frame a portrait of Chester's life.
Church — Near the core of Chester's life was the work of the Mennonite Church in the mission of God. He was ordained to Christian ministry when invited to serve in Ethiopia. He enjoyed recalling the testimonies of new faith in Jesus Christ from Ethiopian students, and provided leadership alongside Ethiopians during the birth of the Meserete Kristos Church in Ethiopia, which is today the largest Mennonite-related church in the world. He completed a Master of Divinity at Union Theological Seminary, Richmond, Va., and pursued doctoral work in religious education (ABD) at New York University & Seminary. He generously donated time and money to many church-related schools and ministries. He and Sara Jane became advocates for inclusion of persons with same-sex orientation in the church. He remained active at Blossom Hill Mennonite until his death.
Education — Chester was a catalyst for starting schools. This was his gift and passion. These training centers in Ethiopia included the Dresser Bible School for nurse aides, the Good Shepherd School for missionary children, and the Nazareth Bible Academy — a highly regarded secondary school. In the USA, Chester initiated the Paul-Timothy mentoring program, founded the Keystone Bible Institute, and directed Student & Young Adult Services for Mennonite students in eastern urban settings. He served for many years on the Board of Eastern Mennonite University who honored him and Sara Jane with EMU's Centennial Award in 2017.
Business — Chester invested himself in numerous businesses after returning to the USA. This included cultivating a small family farm and vineyard. Together with his wife Sara Jane and sons, he operated flower market stands at Meadowbrook, Bird-in-Hand, and Central Market, Lancaster, Pa. He was a quiet investment partner with another son in the start of Isaacs Restaurant & Deli.
Family — Chester loved his wife Sara Jane and their eight children, 16 grandchildren, and 25 great-grandchildren. He enjoyed games of competition from croquet to Bible quizzes to volleyball. He loved the seashore and was happy to rent a family beach house annually for 35 years so the next generations could delight in the same. Nothing filled him with as much joy as a cappella family four-part singing with gusto, sometimes around the piano. To the end of his life he remained curious about the latest family news from children, in-laws, grandchildren, and beyond.

Chester was the last surviving child of Amos D. and Anna May Wenger's seven children.
A memorial service will be held with timing to be announced later. A separate interment is planned for immediate family.

April 9, 1947 - June 25, 2020
Earl H. Wenger of East Earl, age 73, passed away Thursday, June 25, 2020 at L.G.H. following a 5-year illness with cancer. He was the husband of Ruth (Burkholder) Wenger with whom he shared 49 years of marriage.
He was born in East Earl Twp. on April 9, 1947 to the late Harry and Susanna (Horst) Wenger.
He was a beloved husband, father and grandfather. Earl enjoyed spending time with his family and grandchildren.
In addition to farming, Earl had worked at Witmer Coach Shop for the past 40 years until shortly before his passing.
Earl was a member of Weaverland Mennonite Church, Weaverland Conference.
In addition to his wife Ruth, Earl is survived by his son Gerald (Jeanine) of New Holland and daughter Loree (Glenn) Martin of Ephrata, seven grandchildren, two siblings: Raymond (Anna Mary) Wenger and Elmer (Anna) Wenger, and numerous nieces and nephews.
He was preceded in death by siblings Lloyd, Arlene Martin Zimmerman, and Nora Wenger.

Jacob “Jake” Dewitt Wenger, 84, a resident of Rockingham, passed away Monday, May 11, 2020, at his home. Mr. Wenger was born Dec. 15, 1935, in Rockingham County and was a son of the late Amos D. and Nettie E. (Rhodes) Wenger.
He was a farmer and a member of the Pleasant View Old Order Mennonite Church.
On March 15, 1966, he married the former Mary Lou Eberly, who survives.
Also surviving are his children, Olen Wenger and wife, Alice, of Rockingham, Lucille Heatwole and husband, Ray Lynn, Linda Shank and husband, Sanford and Stanley Wenger, all of Dayton, and Laverne Wenger and wife, Ellen, of Rockingham; a sister, Esther Rohrer and husband, Paul, of Dayton; sister-in-law, Hazel Wenger; brother-in-law, Amos Knicely; 17 grandchildren and two great-grandchildren.
In addition to his parents, Mr. Wenger was preceded in death by four brothers, Paul Wenger, Reul Wenger, Fred Wenger and Frank Wenger; three sisters, Martha Wenger, Anna Knicely and Frances Rohrer; and a grandson-in-law, Aaron Rohrer.

Karolyn S. Wenger, 63, of Leola, passed away on Wednesday, December 9, 2020, at WellSpan Ephrata Community Hospital.
She was born in Ephrata to the late Aaron W. and Mary Z. (Sensenig) Hurst and was the wife of Adam O. Wenger.
Karolyn was a homemaker and a member of Groffdale Mennonite Church (Weaverland Conf.).
In addition to her husband, Karolyn is survived by four children; Verlin, husband of Rose (Horst) Wenger, Linford, husband of Diane (Rutt) Wenger, Joelle, wife of Melvin Ray Martin, Andrew Wenger;11 grandchildren and six siblings, Marian S., wife of Leon Weiler of Phelps, NY, Beulah Mae, wife of Aaron Wise of Seneca Falls, NY, Mervin, husband of Martha (Martin) Horst of Seneca Falls, NY, David Lamar, husband of Mary Catherine (Wise) Hurst of Newville, Mary Lou, wife of the late Lester Wise of Waterloo, NY, Aaron S., Jr., husband of Sylvia (Weaver) Hurst of Ephrata.
In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by three sisters, Linda, Emma Jean and Elizabeth Jane and two grandchildren, Vince and Malachi.

Larry E. Wenger, 83, went home to be with his Lord on Friday, December 18, 2020, at Ephrata Manor after a breif illness.
Born in Adamstown, he was the son of the late Eli M. and Dorothy (Gamber) Wenger.
Larry was a graduate of Ephrata High School, class of 1955. After graduation, he served four years in the U.S. Air Force. He worked for a few local radio stations, then for the cable division of D&E Telephone (now Blue Ridge) for many years. He then moved to California in the 80's where he worked for a TV cable company until retirement. After retiring he did maintenance for an apartment complex his son managed. After retiring from that in 2015 he moved to Austin, TX to be near his younger son. In 2018, he moved back to Ephrata.
He attended Christian Fellowship Church, New Holland.
Larry is survived by a son, Donavon E. Wenger of Austin, TX; a granddaughter, Veronica Wenger of CA; two brothers, Roger (Pearl) Wenger of Jersey Shore, PA, Thomas (Joanne) Wenger of Pasadena, MD; two sisters, Joyce (Dale) Enck of Denver, Sylvia (Peter) Jones of Conwy, Wales, UK and many nieces and nephews.
In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by a son, Robert E. Wenger of CA in 2015.

Wenger, LaVaun Marie Becker
April 5, 1938 - December 3, 2020
LaVaun Marie Becker Wenger was born to Ervin and Adeline (Nightingale) Becker on April 5, 1938 in McPherson, Kansas. She passed from this life to her eternal reward on December 3, 2020, in Moundridge, Kansas, reaching the age of 82 years and 8 months. Death was caused by complications of Parkinson’s disease, which she endured for 16 years. We as her family deeply appreciate the exceptional nursing care she received, first at Pine Village, and then almost 4 years at the Moundridge Manor.
LaVaun spent her childhood with her 8 siblings on a small farm in rural Galva, and obtained her formal education at the South Union school. She heard the call of the Lord, repented of her sins, and accepted Jesus Christ as her personal savior in her early teens. She was baptized into the Church of God in Christ, Mennonite on February 6, 1953 at the Lonetree congregation, Galva, Kansas. She embraced this faith to her end.
Our mother was united in marriage to Franklin Wenger on December 8, 1957. They enjoyed almost 63 years of wedded life together. Three sons and one daughter were born to this union. She was a devoted wife, faithfully standing by Dad and supporting him in his role as a minister of the Gospel. Mom was a loving, caring and sympathetic mother to her children. Her grandchildren held a special place in her heart. Our spiritual welfare was her deep concern.
Our parents were called to mission service in Nigeria, West Africa, forming many special and long-lasting friendships with fellow-workers and the Nigerian brothers and sisters.
Mom was a lover of flowers and an avid gardener. She was a hard worker and very frugal with resources. She could make the budget go far in meeting the needs of her family, while at the same time producing tasty and nourishing meals.
She is survived by her sorrowing husband, Franklin, three sons, Greg and Julie, Arthur, Illinois, Steve and Amy, Tuscola, Illinois and Mitch and Vonda, Newton, Kansas; daughter, Becky and Galen Jantz, Moundridge; brothers, LeRoy and Elizabeth Becker, Moundridge, and John Becker, Hesston; sisters, Wilma Nightingale, and Nadine Unruh, both of Moundridge, Deola and Carl Wenger, Hesston, and Judy and Harold Koehn, Montezuma, 16 grandchildren and 25 great-grandchildren.
LaVaun was preceded in death by her parents; two sisters, Marcella Koehn and Doris Unruh; and granddaughter, Maria Wenger.

Mary Ann Wenger, 49, of Denver, passed away on Saturday, October 24, 2020, at WellSpan Ephrata Community Hospital.
She was born in Earl Township to the late John M. and Hettie (Martin) Wenger.
Mary Ann was a member of Groffdale Mennonite Church (Groffdale Conference) and worked at Lighthouse Rehabilitation Services.
Mary Ann is survived by five siblings, Aaron M. Wenger of New Holland, Mahlon M. Wenger of New Holland, Barbara M., wife of David H. Hoover of Penn Yan, NY, Fannie M. Hoover of Penn Yan, NY, and Walter M. Wenger of Fleetwood, PA; and numerous nieces and nephews.

Mary Z. Wenger, 76, of Womelsdorf, passed away on Tuesday, September 8, 2020, in her home.
She was the wife of Willis Z. Wenger, with whom she celebrated 55 years of marriage on May 27th.
She was a member of Millbach Mennonite Church, Newmanstown.
Mary was a homemaker.
In addition to her husband, Mary is survived by four children, Wilma, wife of Marlin Martin of Myerstown, Vernon, husband of Waunita Wenger of Newmanstown, Nevin, husband of Cheryl Wenger of Womelsdorf, Jerry, husband of Sharon Wenger of Myerstown; 14 grandchildren; six great-grandchildren; four siblings, Miriam, wife of Leroy Martin of Lebanon, Noah, husband of Mildred Hurst of Lititz, Irene, wife of Irvin High of Myerstown, Elvin, husband of Carol Hurst of Lititz and a brother-in-law, Lloyd Martin of Lebanon.

February 10, 1944 - October 18, 2020
Melvin M. Wenger, 76, of East Earl, died Sunday, October 18, 2020 at Hospice & Community Care in Mount Joy after a lengthy battle with Parkinson's but with significant decline over the past two weeks.
Born in East Earl, he was a son of the late Ivan Z. and Mabel (Martin) Wenger. He was married 54 years on April 16 to Betty J. (Gehman) Wenger.
Mel was a member of the Bowmansville Mennonite Church. He worked as a beef farmer most of his life but worked at Shady Maple most recently.
He enjoyed woodworking, storytelling, but mostly his grandchildren.
Surviving in addition to his wife are four children, Dean, married to Cynthia (Weaver) Wenger of Willow Street, Neil, married to Kathy (Wray) Wenger of New Holland, Anita, married to Rick Ringler of Narvon, and Todd Wenger of Harrisburg; nine grandchildren; a brother, Clarence, married to Mary (Burkholder) Wenger of Manheim; and a sister, Vera Zimmerman of East Earl.
Preceding him in death is a brother, Aaron Wenger.
A memorial service will be held on Thursday, Oct. 22 at 11 AM at Bowmansville Mennonite Church, 129 Pleasant Valley Road, East Earl. A private interment in the adjoining cemetery will be held at the convenience of the family. The family will receive friends at the Church on Wednesday from 6-8 PM and on Thursday from 10-11 AM. Mervin D. Wenger, 93, formerly of Lititz, passed away on Monday, June 15, 2020 at Lincoln Christian Home, Ephrata. Born in West Earl Township, he was the son of the late Noah and Elma (Denlinger) Wenger. He was the loving husband of the late Mary Catherine (Herr) Wenger who passed away in 2017. He was a member of New Haven Mennonite Church, Lititz.
Surviving are four daughters: Carolyn (Edward) Schrock, Myerstown, Lorraine (Philip) Parbel, Womelsdorf, Shirley (Sam) Pierce, Manheim, Mary Lou (Ben) Mellinger, Denver, sixteen grandchildren, great-grandchildren and great-great-grandsons; four brothers: Arthur, Lloyd, Earl and Roy Wenger, and a sister-in-law, Shirley.
Services are private and at the convenience of the family. Interment in Groffdale Mennonite Cemetery, West Earl Township.
Wenger, Miriam Showalter
December 15, 1948 - March 5, 2020
WAYNESBORO -- Miriam "Mim" Showalter Wenger, 71, moved to her new home in heaven on March 5, 2020. Mim was born on Dec. 15, 1948, in Broadway, Va., the daughter of Clayton D. and Thelma Getz Showalter. She graduated from Eastern Mennonite High School, where she met her beloved friend for life, David Weaver Wenger. They were united in marriage in 1968. She attended Eastern Mennonite College and graduated with a nursing degree from the University of Virginia in 1975.
Mim enjoyed serving the community with her nursing skills and worked in the nursing field until she retired in 2014 from Augusta Health in Fishersville, Va. In 1972, Mim and Dave moved to Wenger Grape Farm, near Waynesboro, Va., where they took over the family farm and raised 30 acres of Concord-type grapes. Mim loved visiting with customers at the farm each September during harvest season, and made her way around the community to help prune neighbors' backyard vines during the winter months.
Mim was a loyal member of Springdale Mennonite Church and lived a life of tireless service to others in the name of Christ. She enjoyed visiting and taking food to others, showing up to wash dishes or weed flower beds, and participating in countless Mennonite Relief Sales and mission trips with Mennonite Disaster Service. Mim served on many committees, frequently led hymn singing, loved playing church league softball, was passionate about family and Mennonite Church history, and relished spirited theological discussions.
As a child, Mim loved playing in the creeks and roaming the mountains around her home near Cootes Store and her love of nature never faded. Time spent at the ocean, hiking, watching sunsets, discovering wildflowers, and gardening were all priceless to her, and were legacies she inherited from her mother and handed down to her children and grandchildren. Most important to Mim were the many relationships and friendships she sustained over the years. Her home and her heart were open to all, young and old, friend and stranger. She thrived on time spent with family and friends and despite being diagnosed with ALS (Lou Gehrig's Disease), she continued to plan gatherings to remain connected to others. In her final days, she was still surrounded by family, friends and music—hymns, bluegrass and gospel.
Mim is survived by Dave, her husband of 51 years; her three daughters, Wendy (Mark) Hochstedler of Waynesboro, Heidi (Brent) Yoder of Harrisonburg, and Kristi (Ryan) Stoltzfus of Steeles Tavern; her six beloved grandchildren, Madelyne, Ian, Isaac, Keaton, Cyrus, and Laurel; and her siblings, Samuel (Janice) Showalter of Rockingham, Millie (Ernest) Bennett of Castle Rock, Colo., Elva (Leon) Rhodes of Rockingham, and Bonnie (Michael) Greene of South Hill, Va.
Mim was blessed with the great support of family, friends, and the ALS Association, and wished that any memorial contributions in her honor be made to: The ALS Association – DC/MD/VA Chapter, 30 W. Gude Drive, Suite 150, Rockville, MD 20850.
A private burial along with a public Celebration of Life service will be held at Springdale Mennonite Church as soon as circumstances allow. Current plans are being postponed due to the novel coronavirus spread. Services are provided by Charlton and Groome.
Whetstone, Perry H.

Perry H. Whetstone, 77, of Shipshewana, died at 5:14 am on Friday, July 3, 2020 at his residence. He was born on December 26, 1942 in Sturgis, MI, to Henry and Edna (Christner) Whetstone. On November 25, 1965 in Middlebury he married Anna D. Miller, she survives.
Survivors in addition to his wife are two sons, John (LaVera) Whetstone, Jerry (Linda) Whetstone, all of Shipshewana; eight daughters, Loretta (Lavoyd) Schlabach, Linda (Vernon) Bontrager all of Shipshewana, Ruth (Danny) Otto of LaGrange, Ruby (Lavon) Schlabach, Esther (Alvin) Mullett, Mary (David) Yoder, Marlene (Calvin) Lambright, Marilyn (Daniel) Lambright all of Shipshewana; 44 grandchildren; 36 great-grandchildren; two brothers, Ray (Martha) Whetstone of Shipshewana, John Henry "Sonny" (Stacy) Whetstone of Apopka, FL; two sisters, LeAnna (Tobie) Yoder of Middlebury, Martha (Omer) Miller of Millington, MI.
He was preceded in death by his parents; stepmother, Alpha Whetstone; twin sister, Mary Whetstone; great granddaughter, Kara Lambright.
Perry was a retired farmer and had worked for many years at the cheese house. He was a member of the Old Order Amish Church.
Visitation will be after 4:00 pm on Friday July 3, and all day Saturday, July 4, at the Lavoyd Schlabach residence, 10225 W. 250 N., Shipshewana. Funeral services will be at 9:30 am on Sunday, July 5, at the same residence. Services will be conducted by Bishop Glen R. Miller and the home ministers. Burial will be in Naylor Cemetery, Shipshewana. Miller-Stewart Funeral Home, Middlebury is in charge of arrangements.

Joan J. White, 83, of LaGrange, IN died December 2, 2020 at Miller’s Merry Manor in LaGrange, IN.
Mrs. White was born on April 19, 1937 in Nappanee, IN to Maurice J. and Ellen M. (Krull) Newcomer.
Living most of her lifetime in LaGrange County, she was a machine operator for 17 years at Syndicate in Middlebury, IN. Joan attended the Emma Church in Topeka, IN.
On May 13, 1979, in LaGrange, IN, she married Richard T. White; he preceded her in death on February 18, 2016.
Surviving are her two daughters, Doreen (David) Covey of Wolcottville, IN and Connie Campbell of Colon, MI; five grandchildren; and seven great-grandchildren.
Along with her husband, she was preceded in death by her parents; a grandson, Dale Stewart; and her siblings, Eugene Newcomer, Max Newcomer, Janet Schlemmer, and Carol Hope.
Private family services will take place with Rev. Gene Hartman officiating.
Burial will take place privately at Greenwood Cemetery in LaGrange, IN.

Wickey, Martha A. Schrock
October 3, 1936 - October 13, 2020
Martha A. Wickey, of Burr Oak, Michigan, died on October 13, 2020 surrounded by her loving family. She was 84 and passed away after a short bout with cancer.
She was born October 3, 1936 in LaGrange County, Indiana; a daughter of Ora and Bernice (Troyer) Schrock. She moved with her family to the Burr Oak, Michigan area at the age of 6 and was a 1954 graduate of Burr Oak High School.
She married Edwin Wickey on October 23, 1955 at the Locust Grove Church where she was a member. She was a charter member of the South Colon Covenant Church until it closed. She served as a Sunday School and Bible School teacher and was president of the Ladies Sewing Circle for many years.
Martha was an artist with needle and thread. She enjoyed making many quilts and other crafts. She enjoyed traveling extensively with her husband. They traveled to 12 countries and most of the 50 United States including Alaska and Hawaii. They spent 16 winters at their home in Sunnybreeze, near Port Charlotte, Florida. She enjoyed spending time with her family, grandchildren, and great grandchildren.
Martha was employed by St. Joseph County in the Treasurer’s office. In 1976 she was elected as County Treasurer where she served until she retired in 1983.
She is survived by her husband, Edwin of almost 65 years, one son, Kevin (Judy) Wickey of Burr Oak, Michigan, 4 grandchildren: Kurtis (Miranda) Wickey of Springfield, Ohio, Keitha (Bob) Lawrence of Sturgis, Michigan, Kayla (Tom) Nickles of Milton, Vermont, and Krista (Andrew) Sisler of Friendsville, Maryland; 10 great grandchildren; one sister Phyllis (Steve) Hughes of Burr Oak, Michigan, one brother Lloyd (Sharon) Schrock of Sturgis, Michigan, and one sister-in-law Donna (Schrock) Casper of Sturgis, Michigan as well as many nieces and nephews.
She was preceded in death by her parents, one daughter, Karla (Wickey) Stauffer and a brother, Robert Schrock.
The family will receive friends at Locust Grove Church, 29525 Findley Rd., Burr Oak, MI 49030 on Thursday, October 15th from 1:00 pm to 8:00 pm. Small groups will be allowed into the fellowship hall at a time. A funeral service is planned for 1:00 pm Friday at Locust Grove Church. Pastor Clint Zehr will officiate. The funeral service will be live streamed on the Locust Grove Mennonite Church Facebook page. A private graveside service will follow at Locust Grove Cemetery. The family requests that masks be worn and social distancing recommendations be followed at all events.

Widrick, Muriel Ruth Roggie, 88, of Lowville, Lewis Co., New York died February 29, 2020 at the same place. She was born February 6, 1932 at Lowville, NY to Aaron N. and Esther K. (Zehr) Roggie. On November 23, 1950 at Lowville she was married to Robert Nelson Widrick, who was born February 21, 1931 and died December 8, 2018.
Surviving are children, Sharon and Glenn Curry; Dale and Debbie Widrick; Keith and Colleen Widrick; and Brenda and Stephen Malone; ten grandchildren, 15 great-grandchildren, two great-great-grandchildren and a brother and his wife, Milford and Mary Lou Roggie.
A grandson, Jon M. Widrick and a brother, Marvin Roggie preceded her in death.

Georgia C. Wier, 66, of Middlebury passed away 8:01 pm on Saturday evening after a three year battle with cancer. She was born on September 27, 1953 in Cadillac, Michigan to John and Hilma (Holmberg) Wier, who preceded her in death.
She was survived by two sons: Jason (Sheri) Wier of Middlebury, IN and Matthew (Kahla) Wier of Windsor Heights, IA; three
grandchildren: Danielle, Andrew, and Lille; two sisters, Ruth (Mark) VanBogelen of Manchester, MI, Teresa (Mark) Camilleri of Midland, MI; brother, Gary (Cindy) Wier, Anaheim Hills, CA.
Georgia loved spending time with her family, gardening, traveling, walking, snowshoeing, and cross country skiing. She volunteered doing gardening for the Middlebury Parks
Department, where she also served on the board. She enjoyed working as an accountant and earned her MBA at Indiana Wesleyan in 2005.
Viewing will be held at Clinton Frame Church, Goshen on Saturday, March 7, from 9:00 - 11:00 am followed by a funeral service at 11:00 am. Services will be conducted by Pastors Sebastiano Rosa and Linda Miller, both of the church. Memorial contributions may be given to the Middlebury Parks Department. Williams, Eldon Eugene, 79, of Rock Falls, Whiteside, Co., IL died January 13, 2020 at Dixon, Lee Co., IL. He was born February 23, 1940 in Dent Co., MO to Archie and Alene (Hartley) Williams. On November 1, 1965 at Sterling, Whiteside Co., IL he was married to Sandra Hamilton, who was born February 13, 1948 and survives.
Surviving are children, Eric (Karen) Williams; Bruce (Joanie) Williams; and Suzanne (Jeff) Lee; twelve grandchildren, four great-grandchildren; and a brother, Edwin Williams.
His siblings, Ruby, Geraldine Anita, and Snoma preceded him in death.
Memorial services were held January 25, 2020 at Harvest Time Bible Church, Rock Falls, IL with burial in the adjoining cemetery.

Alivia Kate Wingard, infant daughter of Matthew and Kaylene (Miller) Wingard, of Constantine, MI passed away at 4:15 pm on Friday, September 11, at St. Joseph Regional Medical Center, Mishawaka. She had lived for approximately one hour.
Survivors in addition to her parents are four sisters, Elsie, Savannah, Madelyn and Bethany Wingard; grandparents, Perry and Fannie Wingard of Goshen and Richard and Arlene Miller of Shipshewana; great-grandparents, Lonnie and Tressie Lambright of Goshen, Iva Miller of Shipshewana and Anna Lambright of Topeka.
She was preceded in death by her great-grandparents, Katie Lambright, Vernon Miller, Leland Lambright, Perry and Wilma Wingard.
Visitation will be from 2:00 - 4:00 pm on Sunday, September 13, at the Glen Borkholder residence, 25660 Bankers St., Sturgis, MI. Funeral services will follow visitation starting at 4:00 pm also on Sunday at the same residence. Services will be conducted by Bishop Glen Borkholder and the home ministers. Burial will be in Southeast Clinton Cemetery, Goshen.

Jay D. Wingard, 63, of Shipshewana, died at 9:05 pm on Tuesday, December 15 at Lutheran Hospital, Fort Wayne, due to a short illness. He was born on July 14, 1957 in LaGrange County, to Joseph and Nora (Miller) Wingard. On June 18, 1981 in Topeka, he married Ruth Ann Yoder; she survives.
Survivors in addition to his wife are four sons, Jesse (Linda) Wingard of Bristol, Joas (Nora) Wingard of Goshen, Jacob (Marlene) Wingard of Shipshewana, Nathan Wingard of Middlebury; five daughters, Lori (John) Schrock of Middlebury, Amy (Nathan) Graber of Shipshewana, Sara (Nelson) Miller of New Paris, Naomi (special friend Johnny Miller) Wingard, Esther Wingard both at home; 28 grandchildren; five brothers, Joseph, Jr. (Betty) Wingard, Ray (Dora) Wingard, Freman (Leora) Wingard, Ferman (Barb) Wingard all of Shipshewana, John (Sara) Wingard of Topeka; two sisters, Mary (Orley S.) Miller of Shipshewana, Ruby (Ervin) Mast of Middlebury; four sisters-in-law, Edna Wingard, Esther Wingard, Emma Schrock, Mary Katherine Lambright all of Shipshewana.
He was preceded in death by his parents; four brothers, Perry, Clarence, Elmer, and Mahlon Wingard; four sisters, Ida Schrock, Elizabeth Schlabach, Mary Mast, Esther Lambright.
Jay worked at Shipshe Welding and was a Deacon in the Old Order Amish Church.
Visitation will be after 2:00 pm on Thursday, December 17 and all day Friday, December 18 at the Paul Wingard residence, 9750 W. 250 N., Shipshewana. Funeral services will be at 9:30 am on Saturday, December 19 also at the Paul Wingard residence. Services will be conducted by Bishop Freeman O. Miller and the home ministers. Burial will be in Naylor Cemetery, Shipshewana.
Wissler, Shirley M. Wagner, 85, of Manheim, PA passed away at her home on Tuesday, January 7, 2020. She was born in York, PA, the daughter of the late Roy E. and Carleane (Ehrhart) Wagner. She was married to Jere Wissler who passed away in 2002. Shirley operated a dog grooming business and had a passion for animals. She loved reading, and watching birds.
Surviving are her daughters, Cathy Carter, and Vicki Martin (Michael Harlan); her brothers, Roger Wagner (Hazel) and Richard Wagner (Carolyn); six grandchildren and nine great-grandchildren. Preceding her in death were three grandchildren.
Relatives and friends are invited to a Graveside Service at Millersville Mennonite Cemetery (Millersville Pike and Millersville Road) on Friday, January 10, 2020 at 2:00 p.m. In lieu of flowers, contributions in her name can be made to Humane League of Lancaster.

E. Luke Witmer, 89, of Washington Boro, passed away Saturday afternoon, October 31, 2020 after a brief illness. He celebrated sixty-five years of marriage with the late Dorothy (Boll) Witmer in June 2018. They were long-time residents of West Hempfield and Manor Townships. Luke worked as a farmer, storekeeper, meat processor, metalworker and custodian. Born on May 3, 1931 in Brownstown, he was the son of the late Elam and Katie (Wenger) Witmer. He was a member of the Blue Rock Mennonite Church.
He is survived by five children: Donna M. (Joseph I.) Charles, of Washington Boro, R. Eldon (Edith S. Martin) Witmer, of Richfield, R. Lamar (Barbara Lenhert) Witmer, of Lancaster, Sharon W. (Kevin L.)Yoder, of Elkhart, IN, and J. Larry (Miriam Kreider) Witmer, of York; 20 grandchildren; 34 great-grandchildren and three siblings: John E. (Evelyn) of Ephrata, Lois I. (Clarence) Good of Castorland, NY, and K. Grace (David) Shenk of Lititz. He is also survived by a brother-in-law, John Bender of Ephrata. In addition to his wife, Luke was also preceded in death by two great-grandchildren and six siblings: Anna Eshbach, Dorothy Miller, Paul M., Roy E., Arlene Hertzler, and Jean Bender.

Witmer, Harold K.
February 21, 1932 - January 26, 2020
Harold K. Witmer, 87, of Brethren Village, passed away on Sunday, January 26, 2020. Born in Penn Township, he was the son of the late Wayne and Mary (Keller) Witmer. Harold was the husband of the late Nyla (Ebersole) Witmer who passed away on August 6, 2018.
Harold owned and operated a dairy farm in Manheim for 35 years. After retirement he worked at the former Darrenkamp's Food Market in Mount Joy and the Lancaster Dairy Herd Improvement Association. Harold volunteered with Mennonite Central Committee. He enjoyed gardening, puzzles and feeding birds.
Harold and his wife were faithful members of Erisman Mennonite Church in Manheim. They served in a variety of roles over the years.
Surviving are four sons, Veryl Witmer of New York City, D. Lamar Witmer of San Francisco, Jeffrey Witmer, husband of Dawn Ginder of Manheim and Rodney Witmer, husband of Wendy Hoke Witmer of Landisville; three grandchildren, Abigail Witmer, Kammi Witmer, and Reyna Trujillo; four honorary grandchildren, Jacob, Erin, Issac, and Silas Buckwalter; six great-grandchildren; two sisters, Helen Eby, wife of Melvin of Manheim and Mary Ann Ebersole, wife of A. David of Manheim; and three sisters-in-law, Marion Witmer, Patsy Witmer and Jean Witmer all of Lititz.
He was preceded in death by three brothers, Marvin, Kenneth, and Warren Witmer.
The family would like to thank Brethren Village Retirement Communities Rehabilitation and Courtyard teams for their care and attention they provided to Harold.
A memorial service honoring Harold's life will be held at Mount Joy Mennonite Church, 320 Musser Road, Mount Joy on Friday, January 31, 2020 at 3PM. Family and friends will be received at the church before the service from 2 PM to 3 PM. Interment will be private.

COLUMBIANA – Mary Agnes Showalter Witmer, 96, of Columbiana, passed away at home December 13, 2020, following a gradual decline in health. She was born June 13, 1924, daughter of the late Harry and Melissa Weaver Showalter.
On October 19, 1950 she married Walter Witmer who preceded her in death on August 30, 2015. Surviving are two sons, D. Philip (Nancy) Witmer, Jason (Iva) Witmer; two daughters Rebecca (Marc) Baird, Rachel Witmer, all of Columbiana; one daughter-in-law Nora (Marvin) Ramer of Nappanee, IN; 22 grandchildren and 54 great-grandchildren.
Mary was also preceded in death by a son, Luke Witmer; a daughter Priscilla Witmer; a granddaughter Sylvia Witmer; two brothers Elmer Showalter, Joseph Showalter; three sisters Esther Showalter, an infant sister and Anna Ruth Van Pelt.
She was a member of Pleasant View Mennonite Church since her youth.
Funeral services will be held on Friday at Pleasant View Mennonite Church.
The family will receive friends on Thursday, December 17 from 5:00 – 8:00 p.m. at Pleasant View Mennonite School, 2419 Beeson Mill Road.

Richland - Mary K. (Zimmerman) Witmer, 93, Richland, PA, passed peacefully to her eternal home on Sunday September 27, 2020.
Mary was born in Ephrata, PA on September 7, 1927 to the late Clayton & Lizzie Martin.
Mary was a loving & dedicated mother to six sons, one stepson & six stepdaughters. She was also a loving & caring grandmother to many grandchildren, great grandchildren & great great grandchildren. Mary served in various ministries in the church, which included sewing circles & supporting her husband in ministry. She was known for her smile, laugh & humor. She created many projects on her sewing machine & quilting frame that were shared with her family & many organizations.
Mary was preceded in death by her first husband, Paul M. Zimmerman, her second husband Paul M. Witmer, one sister Edna Martin, 5 brothers; Harvey, Ammon, Alan, Ellis & Aaron Martin, a daughter-in-law Crystal Zimmerman (Jay), a stepdaughter Janet Peifer (Elvin), a step granddaughter Lori Peifer & a great granddaughter Morgan Yiengst. Surviving are siblings John Martin & Nora High.

Mary is also survived by 24 grandchildren, 42 great grandchildren, 3 great great grandchildren, 30 step grandchildren, 47 step great grandchildren & 3 step great great grandchildren.
